The Masonic Fraternities have played a significant part in my life. Having started out in DeMolay in 1986 at the age of 15, it was quite natural for me to become a 4th Generation Master Mason in November of 1993. My current Masonic affiliations are limited to Corner Stone Masonic Lodge #216 in Portland, Maine. Working with the Scouts has lead me to formally demit from the Scottish Rite and Shrine.

In 1992 I was elected to receive the Degree of Chevalier while still an Active DeMolay. Prior to that time I served as Master Councilor of Frank S. Land Chapter in South Portland, Maine and I was also elected to serve as the State Senior Councilor of the Maine DeMolay Association.
The Degree of Chevalier is the highest honor for distinguished DeMolay service that can be awarded to a DeMolay by the International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay. I still wear this ring pictured below as a reminder of all those great friends and mentors who helped me along the way.
